Church Activities

If any of the church activities interest you, we would love for you to share your time and talents with our Trinity family. Either contact the group leader or the church for more information.

Ladies' Aid - On the second Thursday of the month at 1:30 pm, Trinity’s Ladies’ Aid meets for Bible study, fellowship, and prepare for activities they sponsor. All women are welcome to attend these meetings.  This group aids the church with providing meals for funerals, Community Meal, Turkey Supper, God’s Pantry, Trinity’s Tea, support a seminarian, support Lutheran Family Services, and much more.  If you have any questions about Ladies’ Aid you can contact their president, Karol Honeck.

Quilting - Trinity’s Quilters are industrious!  Since October 2020, the Quilters have made over 1,000 quilts.  Quilts made with loving, prayerful hands make their way to confirmands, families in need, State Center’s Community Cupboard, Marshalltown’s House of Compassion, ISU international students, Lutheran World Relief, Orphan Grain Train, and more.  Everyone has a job, and if you join them, they will make sure you do too.  Can you cut squares, design and lay out blocks, sew blocks, tie quilts, or bind edges?  It doesn't matter your skill set, they will teach you how.  They work and enjoy fellowship every Wednesday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Bring your lunch!

Need a gift idea?  The quilts on display in the Sanctuary are for sale.  For more information, contact Karol Honeck.

Banners - In an effort to beautify and enhance the worship experience, this group creates and acquires banners. These banners are selected to highlight themes, preview worship services, teach about seasons of the church year, and add to the church services.  If you are interested in sharing your talents, contact the Evangelism Committee chairperson, Aileen McKinney.

Potluck Dinners - Trinity Lutheran Church is very proud of their execution of the classic potluck dinner.  When attending a Trinity potluck, you are guaranteed colorful salads, tempting heirloom desserts, and a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with Trinity's family.  This church has talents in potluck preparation.
